The favorites to win Euro 2008 , the Netherlands have lost out to Russian quickness. After extra time score stood 3-1. Russia took the early lead. Holland managed to equalise with minutes to end full time. But that wasn't enough. Russia played better football all together. In 2nd extra time Russians scored 2 more, ending van Bastian's dream of winning a championship as a coach.
"Most of us expected Portugal to win over Germany. Yet Germany won, 3-2. And 68% expected Croatia to win over Turkey. Yet Turkey scored in the last seconds of extra time, taking the game to penalties, which they won 3-1."
Well Euro has sprung many surprises!!!!
