A sweet dream!!!

BuenosAires_bench

A pure, sweet dream.

A cold morning.

A dazed day.

Dull Soliloquies.

Thankless toil.

Malicious comments.

Polite conversations.

Peppered bites.

Broken benches.

Fathomless friendship.

Wandering words.

Beautiful breeze.

Peace.

Sweet nothings.

Nothing’s sweet.

Distressed dilemmas.

Hope for another sweet dream.

STILL I RISE.....

fire_of_the_phoenix

You may write me down in history;
With your bitter, twisted lies;

You may trod me in the very dirt;

But still, like a true champion, I'll rise.

Does my continued victory upset you?

Why does my triumph give you sleepless nights?

Ask your own conscience and you'll get the answer;

Because you want to emulate me but is not able to do so.

Just like moons and like suns;

With the certainty of tides;

Just like hopes springing high;

Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?

Bowed head and lowered eyes?

Shoulders falling down like teardrops;

Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my arrogance offend you?

Don't you take it awful hard;

Because whatever you may say at my back;

I refuse to give a bloody damn?

You may shoot me with your words;

You may cut me with your eyes;

You may kill me with your hatefulness;

But still, like wind, I'll rise.

Out of the huts of history's shame

I rise;

Up from a past that's rooted in pain

I rise;

I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,

Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.

Leaving behind nights of terror and fear

I rise;

Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear

I rise;

I am the dream and the hope and the future;

For whatever be the odds against me,

Whomsoever be the one against me,

Wherever be the conspiracy against me waged,

Still, like an eternal phoenix, from the ashes,

I rise

I rise

I rise.

The Immortal

They killed me, but I would not die.

Yea! all day and all night

For me they could not rest nor sleep,

Nor guard from me nor hide in flight

Then in their agony, they turned

And made their hands red in blood.

In vain - for faster than they slew

I rose more stronger than before.

I pushed on with slaughter mad;

I fought till all my strength was gone.

And still they rose to torture me,

For Devils only die for fun.

No reason to love...not even Love !!!

I always tend to misspell love as lone.

You love me coz you are tired of your loneliness.
Its worse that I know it.

I'm scared you'll stop.
That I'll be a habit you can discard as easy as you got it on.

I'm scared of the buttons you'll open
And discover a body not very lovable
And even more about how you'll pretend its ok.

Once again I make the same mistake.
I stop being myself.
And try be what you want.
And end up being what neither of us wants.

I wait for you to call me.
You never do.
And when I do
I wait for me to hang up.
And I promise myself I'll not call you.
That is
Until
You call me back
And so I break an already broken promise.

I search for you
In old mails
In past friends
In touched places
In stored SMSs
In movies.
And I find you
And everywhere.
So I never call out
As that will make both of us uncomfortable.
Found
and found.

THE SOLEMN SOLITUDE

Solitude is a terrible agony
an expatriate bird,causing trepidation
entombed in the prison of chores
the hunger for communion remains
filling the voids of sultry fiction
I give a sight at the blooming pelargonium
as I loiter with calibrated bluffness
stranded like an empty codger
unswirling the lexicon of hollowness
killing the flanky lassitude
the amplitude of my thought proceeds
eternally jinxed;perhaps an exile
the compartment of my mind seems volatile
iridescent human nature
enervating the probity of human mind
allude to bizzare endings
perhaps, with no particular triumph
'oh,my dear' , solitude is no substitute
subvert the instincts to suffuse
extol the harmonious confluence
buoyant with luscious thoughts
penning words of glory..

Still I Rise

Betrayl: The most soul piercing poem....

Hey frnds... this poem by our dearest Sreehari has been named the "Most soul piercing poem" . ....Here's the poem

Good day to thee my worthless friend, I see you’ve shown your full intent
While others rally to defend, no one knows where you went
Hello to thee my part time chum, I see you fled the dragons lair
While former friends die one by one, they turn for help but you're not there
Greetings to thee my life long mate, we trusted you with all our hearts
We remembered you in final thoughts, as we watched ourselves get ripped apart
Goodbye to you fair-weather friend, was good until you turned and fled
Think of us from time to time, the ones you loved then left for dead

Do post ur comments about this piece.....
